František Drtikol: Stages of life and photographic work /Secese – Art Deco – Abstraction/ 1, 2
A two-volume monograph of the photographic work of František Drtikol. The text of the book was written by the world-renowned art historian Anna Fárová, PhDr. Anna Fárová (1928-2010). The publication presents the most comprehensive cross-section of Drtikol's most important and fundamental photographic work. The pictorial material was drawn mainly from the collection of the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague (which owns the largest collection of Drtikol's photographs in the world) and also from some important private collections.
The book contains 489 photographs in the pictorial part and 119 photographs in the text part - over 600 photographs in total. It was printed with the Heidelberg frequency-modulated raster Satin Screening process.
The book's 33 x 24.5 cm format allowed most of the photographs to be published at their actual size. The two-volume book, including the elegant cover, weighs almost 5 kg. Hardcover with dust jacket, two volumes, 516 pages in total.
